The ecotrails are situated in the flatland and hilly regions of the country. They are located respectively in the unique canyons of the rivers and in the limestone cascade. The low and medium high mountainous regions in the country are represented by ecotrails between 600 - 700 m and 1000-12000 m above sea level. The South Rhodopes and Kopren ecotrails are situated even higher – between 1000-1200 m to 1400-1500 m above sea level. Almost all the trails are attractive because they are along the waterfalls and cascades, the picturesque underground and uncovered rock formations, caves and a rich variety of biological species, plants. The distances of the ecotrails vary from 1 - 2 hour up to a two day walk, so that children as well elderly people could enjoy the ecotrails.
